HERSHEY \u2013 The Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation presented the Center for Dairy Excellence with the distinguished Partnership in Ag Literacy Award at the Foundation Breakfast on November 19 during the 2024 Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in Hershey. This award celebrates the Center\u2019s exceptional contributions to agricultural literacy across Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Center for Dairy Excellence has been a partner in promoting agricultural education, particularly through its efforts to engage and educate students and communities about the dairy industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several of their programs include their Adopt A Cow program, which reaches more than 40,000 classrooms; the Dairy Leaders of Tomorrow program, which encourages high school students to explore careers in the dairy industry; and Discover Dairy, which connects students to where their food comes from through interactive classroom lessons and virtual farm tours. They also partner with the Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation by hosting an educational session at the Educator\u2019s Ag Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the recognition, the Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation will submit the Center for Dairy Excellence for the National Ag in the Classroom Organization\u2019s national award, bringing well-deserved attention to the impactful work being done in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
