One of the biggest problems most businesses have is getting actual people to their businesses. It’s hard to make sales if people don’t know who you are. Which is why event marketing is perfect because you get the opportunity to gather people around your brand instead of trying to get your brand in front of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To raise brand awareness, your brand or business should sponsor the event. Meaning you contribute in funding for the event in exchange for branding. You can also host giveaways, prizes and free swag with your branding to increase awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interact with Customers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The special thing about events, especially in-person ones, is you get to see your potential customer right there! Even online through a webinar or Facebook event, you get to interact one on one with someone interested in your topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Use this opportunity to hear your customers problems, get feedback and collect information. If you’re doing a giveaway, have them enter by answering a specific question or giving their email. Learn, listen and establish a relationship to your customer for further success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Selling at an Event<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Depending on the event type, you may be able to sell your services. Don’t come right out and try to sell, especially to a cold audience. Always provide value before you get into any pricing or services. You don’t want to put off your potential client by seeming pushy. But, if you do it right, you may be able to make sales during your event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you’ve established a good rapport or given your new event clients a ton of value, a soft pitch just may work. For example, hosting a free webinar where you give tips, advice and value on a specific topic. Then, after the webinar, you pitch an upgrade to a course or service on that topic. You’ve provided adequate value so they may be ready for more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
